Record off the plan sales result for three-bedroom apartment at Macquarie Park

Stage 2 of nbh at Lachlan’s Line, Macquarie Park got off to a good start on Saturday, 12 November. The early rain didn’t dampen numbers, nor buyer interest, with over 100 properties sold. The release saw three new buildings come to the market; ‘Nexus’, ‘Hearth’ and ‘Home’. The landmark Nexus building will feature unrivalled district views of Lane Cove National Park and Chatswood. Both Nexus and Hearth will wrap around Lachlan’s Square and be just 200 metres from North Ryde Train Station via a pedestrian walkway. A newly built bus interchange will add to the convenience.

A three-bedroom penthouse apartment on Level 19 of the Nexus building sold for $2.2m – a Macquarie Park record. The permanent resident buyers, originally from South Korea, have lived in Sydney for the past 20-years and intend to live at nbh. The couple say they chose nbh because of its “perfect location” close to Top Ryde and the fact there’s only one stop each way to Chatswood and Macquarie Park. Proximity to good education in the area also appealed. So too did the brand-new retail hub downstairs.

The buyers praised the floorplan as spacious and suitable for their family lifestyle, and liked the great district views and good ventilation. The apartment appealed to their heads as well, with the couple acknowledging value uplift. They planned to invest in a one-bedroom apartment at first, but then decided on the penthouse space for its greater size, uniqueness and capital growth potential.
