Leaders of Greenland Group attended Spain-China Business forum
On 25 September, 2014 Zhang Yuliang, Chairman and President of Greenland Group was invited to attend the Spain-China Business Forum. Prime Minister of Spain, Mariano Rajoy attended and gave a speech and exchanged ideas on increasing Greenland Group’s investment in Spain with Zhang Yuliang.
Zhang Yuliang said Greenland is stepping up its efforts to expand in the European market. Spain is highly attractive in Eurozone and even the world. Therefore, Greenland treats Spain as one of its important strategic investment countries. Greenland has been making progress on such fields as hotel asset swap and management and stepping up its efforts to promote the investment and development of several high-ranking and commercial hotels in Spain. He pointed out Spain provides foreign investors with a number of supportive and favourable policies and services, which further reinforce Greenland’s resolve and confidence in increasing its investment in Spain. Greenland Group, with the support of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and the Spanish government is seeking to continue to increase investment in Spain and deepen cooperation in further fields to ensure increased investment is realised as early as possible.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy applauded Greenland for its achievement, strength and scale. He welcomed and supported Greenland’s investment and development in Spain. He pointed out that after three years of intensive work, Spain has gradually stepped out of European Debt Crisis with a stronger economy over four quarters. Spain’s total overseas investment in 2013 doubled compared with that of year before, which has become a highlight in the economy of Eurozone and further reinforces the position of being the fourth economy in the Eurozone. Greenland Group, being one of the outstanding enterprises in China also enjoys a high rank in the Fortune Global 500 list, investing in several projects in different areas of Europe and achieving considerable praise and admiration. The Spanish government is keen to work with Greenland Group, stepping up comprehensive and practical cooperation in several fields and providing Chinese investors including Greenland Group with a convenient environment to achieve fruitful results.
